My Mum contracted Lupus in 1961, her treatment at the time was primitive but she was lucky that the consultant was at the forefront of the science to treat this horrible condition. Others succumbed, including a close friend from organ failure at a much younger age than my Mum achieved. For Vicky to recognise this less well known charity feels very special to me.
